Kisha Skipper
Introduction

Kisha D. Skipper is a lifelong Democrat who has called Westchester County home for more than twenty years, raising her family here and dedicating her life to strengthening the community she loves.

Raised by her great-grandmother after losing her parents at a young age, Kisha learned early what resilience, responsibility, and standing up for others truly mean. Those lessons didn’t stay personal, they became the foundation of her public service.

With more than 25 years of professional experience and decades of hands-on civic leadership, Kisha has worked both inside and outside of government,  as an aide to the Yonkers City Council, an election technician with the Westchester County Board of Elections, a labor leader, and a community advocate. She understands how policy decisions affect real people because she has lived their impact.

As President of the NAACP, Yonkers Branch, Kisha has been a leading voice for equity in education, access to quality healthcare, safe and affordable housing, environmental justice, and fair representation. Even after surviving a life-altering battle with COVID-19, she continued to show up,  advocating for families who were hit hardest and too often overlooked.

Kisha believes that government works best when it listens first, collaborates honestly, and delivers real results. As your County Legislator, she is committed to building stronger neighborhoods, expanding opportunity, and ensuring that every family in the 15th Legislative District, Yonkers, Bronxville, and Eastchester, has a voice at the table and a representative who shows up.
